    Cefalù è un borgo marino sul Mar Tirreno meridionale della Provincia di Palermo da cui dista 70 Km. di 15000 abitanti. Compresa nel Parco delle Madonie, sia lo spettacolare scenario che la Storia ne fanno una mèta ricercata. Diverse testimonianze architettoniche rivelano la presenza dell'uomo già nel IX Sec. A.C.. Coloni Greci la presidiavano ancora attorno al IV Sec. A.C., si pensa che il nome derivi dalla sua posizione che la vede arroccata sopra un massiccio.

    Conquistata dai Romani, Bizantini, Arabi, la località deve il suo splendore al periodo Normanno con il Re Ruggero. La Cattedrale è l'opera più rappresentativa di Cefalù, che fu edificata nel 1130 dal Re Normanno.
